Is Data Science a new approach to solving problems, one that applies across disciplines as various as physics, sociology and linguistics? Or are machine learning, deep convoluted neural nets, and other exciting phrases just statistics on steroids? Recent developments in Data Science broadly construed, and the products these have yielded (or promise to yield) are undeniably exciting: identifying and predicting disease, personalised healthcare recommendations, automating digital ad placement, predicting incarceration rates, and countless other tools have attracted a lot of attention.
On October 20th FAIRsFAIR will join the online workshop "The Road to EOSC seen from the national level", organized by the Authority for Digitalization of Romania and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, in collaboration with Open Science Knowledge Hub (OSKH) and the coordinators of the National Initiative on the cloud for open science (RO-NOSCI).
iPRES, or the International Conference on Digital Preservation is the premier conference series on digital preservation. Since 2004 there have been annual iPRES conferences around the globe for the international digital preservation community to share their recent research, development projects, implementation efforts, and other practical experiences, and to enhance collaborations within the field and across the related domains.
